Beacon is now accepting nominations for its fourth annual Beacon of Hope contest, which awards deserving Veterans with new roofs. Together with local roofing companies, Beacon sets out to deliver and facilitate roof replacements for ten Veteran contest winners at no cost to the recipient through the program.
“It’s imperative that we support our nation’s Veterans, as their sacrifice extends far past their time of serving,” Jonathan Bennett, Beacon’s chief commercial officer, said in a prepared statement. “Veterans face many challenges after returning home from service. Having a safe, respectful place to call home is critical to ensuring their future, which is why we created the Beacon of Hope. We urge the public to honor all deserving Veterans by nominating them for an opportunity to receive a new roof.”
Beacon is accepting nominations for U.S. or Canadian Veterans through October 7, 2022. Nominations must include a photo and a short biography of the Veteran, which includes their military branch, years of service, and why the nominee is deserving of a new roof. A panel will select ten winners to receive a roof replacement on behalf of Beacon.
Herndon, Va.-based Beacon distributes roofing materials and complementary building products. The company operates over 500 branches throughout all 50 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
