Beacon continued its rapid expansion activity in 2023 with the opening of new locations in Grand Haven, Mich., and Joplin, Mo. To date, Beacon has opened 16 greenfield locations and completed seven acquisitions.
“This location will serve the popular lake-side community as part of our Western Michigan Beacon OTC network,” Jake Goas, Beacon’s president of the north division, said about the new Grand Haven branch. “Our product range and digital tools, like Beacon PRO+, make us the supplier of choice for the Grand Rapids area.”
Each opening and acquisition is in accordance with Beacon’s Ambition 2025 plan to drive above-market growth via footprint expansion.
“This location’s proximity to Interstates 44 and 49 is ideal for serving our Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma customers,” Clint Wade, Beacon’s national vice president, said of the new Joplin branch. “This tri-state area is a busy region and we have customized our product range, trucking routes, and team expertise to deliver industry-leading service for our lumber yard customers.”
Herndon, Va.-based Beacon distributes roofing materials and complementary building products. The company operates over 500 branches throughout all 50 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
