Beacon completed the acquisition of Omaha, Neb.-based General Siding Supply. In addition to its headquarters in Omaha, General Siding Supply operates four branches in Lincoln, Neb., Grand Island, Neb., Sioux City, Iowa, and West Fargo, N.D.
“This acquisition deepens our complementary building product offering and adds branch locations that expand our branch network in key markets,” Bill Sarvis, Beacon’s regional vice president of the Midwest, said in a prepared statement. “The Spanheimer family’s business has a long-standing reputation as siding specialists with unparalleled technical knowledge and service reliability. We are proud to have them join Team Beacon.”
General Siding has provided building supplies, including siding, windows, and doors, to Midwest contractors for nearly 50 years.

To date in 2024, Beacon has completed three acquisitions, adding twelve branches, and signed a purchase agreement for a fourth acquisition. In addition, the distributor has opened five new greenfield locations.
Herndon, Va.-based Beacon is a distributor of roofing materials, siding, and waterproofing products with over 540 branches throughout all 50 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
