Beacon is seeking nominations for its annual Beacon of Hope program, which awards roofs at no cost to 12 veteran-owned homes and two community buildings that house organizations serving veterans. The 2024 edition of the program will also accept nominations from Gold Star Families for the first time.

In its sixth year, the Beacon of Hope program is part of Beacon’s commitment to Building Better for its Communities. Together with local roofing companies, Beacon will deliver and fully fund a durable roof for the 12 residential winners and two community buildings. The new roofs will feature TRI-BUILT products and products from CertainTeed.

“We proudly stand by our veterans, honoring their service and dedication to our country, which is why it’s our privilege to go further this year by supporting more veterans and including Gold Star Families,” Jonathan Bennett, Beacon’s chief commercial officer, said. “We created the Beacon of Hope program to ensure these veterans have a high quality roof over their heads. We are humbled to partner with local communities and industry partners like CertainTeed to help build a brighter future for veterans and urge the public to honor deserving veterans in their community by nominating them for an opportunity to receive a new roof.”

Beacon will accept nominations through Oct. 4 and a panel will select and announce the winners on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11.
