Allenton, Wis.-based Zuern Building Products acquired Window Design Center, expanding its presence in Wisconsin. Window Design Center operates two locations in Delafield, Wis., and Madison, Wis. The deal marks Zuern’s entrance into the Madison market.
“Delafield is a well established market for Zuern and there has been a desire from our team and customers to have a showroom in the Lake Country area,” Zuern Building Products owner Jennifer Zuern said in a news release. “This, along with the knowledgeable and passionate team at Window Design Center will bring added service and experience to our Zuern team and customers.”
Zuern will continue to offer The Marvin Brand’s complete window and door collection, Hayfield Windows and Doors, Quaker Windows and Doors, and Therma-Tru Exterior Doors under its new name, Window Design Center from Zuern. Jeff Van De Hey will lead the newly renamed Window Design Center from Zuern brand. Van De Hey has more than 25 years of experience in the window market. Updates will be made at both Window Design Center from Zuern showrooms and the locations will have an increased focus on continuing education, according to Van De Hey.
Family-owned Zuern Building Products began operations in 1953 when the Zuern family purchased Weis Lumber in Allenton, Wis., and renamed it Allenton Lumber and Fuel. The company ranked 85th on the 2019 ProSales 100, generating $64 million in sales in 2018.
