The hottest M&A market in a decade has shaken up the ProSales 100 rankings so profoundly that we decided to examine how the PS100 would look if we figured in all the deals done through the first nine months of this year. Here’s how the updated top 15 looks based on our standard of counting only sales to pros when we know that number. That proviso matters, because ABC Supply’s purchase announcement revealed Norandex’s total sales but didn’t give the percentage of pro sales. If that share is anything less than 98%, Builders FirstSource moves to No. 1.

We’ve been told that more deals are coming in the fourth quarter, and the numbers above don’t count any sales growth in 2015, so you can be certain the next official ProSales 100 list will look different. But for the moment, here’s how things shake out. Be sure to also check out all our stories on recent deals.
