US LBM's Wisconsin Building Supply (WBS) announced today it acquired Trantow Do-it Center of Merrill, Wis., a 118-year-old full-service dealer serving central and northern Wisconsin.
Trantow president Kent Johnson will continue leading day-to-day operations with his existing team of more than 25 employees, Green Bay-based Wisconsin Building Supply said. Merrill will be the 11th location in the state where WBS has a facility.
“We are eager to broaden our presence in the Central and Northern Wisconsin Markets,” Bill Imig, WBS president, said in a statement. “The Trantow team and their No. 1 market share is the perfect fit for WBS, and will allow us to continue to improve offerings to professional builders and consumers in this region.”
