US LBM announced late today it has merged with Richardson Gypsum and will place the Stamford, Conn.-based drywall dealer within its Feldman Lumber unit.
Richardson Gypsum has been selling construction supplies and acoustical materials to the residential and commercial building markets since 1960. Company principal John Stanise and his team will continue with the business.
US LBM president and CEO L.T. Gibson said that adding Richardson Gypsum continues the company's efforts to grow its specialty products segment.
Green Bay, Wis.- based US LBM is ProSales' current Dealer of the Year. It ranked 13th on last year's ProSales 100 list, with sales in 2013 of $959 million, but has made so many acquisitions over the past 12 months that it's quite likely to crack the top 10 when a new list is published in May.
