Specialty building materials distributor US LBM acquired Deco Truss, a manufacturer and supplier of structural roof and floor trusses to customers in south Florida and the Caribbean. Deco Truss serves framing and building contractors for residential, multifamily, and commercial projects. In addition to manufacturing truss systems, the company also provides lumber, decking, roofing materials, rebar, millwork and doors, fencing supplies, tools, and hardware.
“Deco Truss has a strong team and is dedicated to manufacturing high-quality products,” US LBM president and CEO L.T. Gibson said in a news release. “They are an excellent, complementary addition to our existing operations in Florida and further expand our manufacturing capabilities to supply builders in multiple growing communities across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.”
Deco Truss operates an 8.5-acre manufacturing plant and retail location in Miami and will operate as a unit of US LBM’s Raymond Building Supply, which has locations across south Florida, including a truss manufacturing plant in North Fort Myers. Mario Espiñeira, Jr. will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of the company.

Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based US LBM has expanded at a rapid pace following private equity firm Bain Capital Private Equity in November 2020. The distributor has completed around 20 acquisitions since November 2020, including deals to acquire Professional Builders Supply, American Construction Source, Oldham Lumber, and Higganbotham Brothers. In 2022, the distributor has acquired Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber, Crown Components, and Truss Fab Companies.
US LBM offers a portfolio of specialty products, including windows, doors, millwork, wallboard, roofing, siding, engineered components, and cabinetry.
