The Lester Group has acquired Custom Builder Supply Company, which operates in Williamsburg, Va., and James City County in Virginia.
“Custom Builder Supply has built a great brand in Williamsburg, Va., and James City County over the past nearly forty years,” Jay Dickens, CEO of The Lester Group, said. “Our company operates five other building supply locations and is very excited to join with the outstanding people at CBS. We strongly believe in the role of the independent lumber yard and the decisions of our store management are always made closest to the customer.”
Custom Builder Supply will continue to operate under its existing brand name post-acquisition with its team intact.

The Lester Group has a portfolio of building supply stores, commercial real estate, and forestlands in Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.
