TAL Holdings announced its agreement to acquire Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center, a two-store chain in western Montana.

“We are thrilled to have Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center join the TAL family,” Jason Blair, CEO of TAL Holdings, said in a prepared statement. “Their legacy of excellence, coupled with our shared values and passion for customer service, will make this partnership a perfect fit. We look forward to working together to build stronger communities and create a brighter future for our customers, and we are grateful to the Winden family for their trust.”

Beaverhead Home Center was founded by Greg and Robin Winden in 1995 in Dillon, Mont. Ennis Lumber Company, formerly known as Madison Lumber and located in Ennis, Mont., combined its operations with Beaverhead Home Center in 2012.

“We’re excited to partner with TAL, as their commitment to quality and service aligns with our values,” Greg Winden, co-founder of Beaverhead Home Center and Ennis Lumber Company, said.

In early June 2023, TAL Holdings will officially welcome Ennis Lumber Company and Beaverhead Home Center into its growing family. Both stores will continue to operate under their existing brand names post-acquisition.

“This addition will strengthen our presence in the western Montana region and bring with it a wonderful group of employees,” Blair said.

Post-acquisition, TAL Holding’s footprint will expand to a total of 32 locations across Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. The company’s family of brands include Badger Building Center, Bayview Building Supply of Elma, Best Built Builders Supply, Browne’s Home Center, Gerretsen Building Supply, Harbor Rental and Saw Shop, Lake Chelan Building Supply, Marson and Marson Lumber, Midway Building Supply, Miller’s Home Center, Mount Vernon Building Center, and Tum-A-Lum Lumber.
