Stock Building Supply, a leading supplier of building materials to professionals in the United States, today announces two acquisitions: Perfection Truss Company, in Albuquerque, NM; and Lee Window and Door Company, in Sanford, NC.
"Perfection Truss Company is the leading truss manufacturer in central New Mexico," says Fenton Hord, Stock CEO and President. "This acquisition is an excellent complement to our 2005 purchase of Baldridge Lumber." Founded in the 1950s, Perfection operates from 1 location. Sales for fiscal year ending March 2006 were $6.4 million. The purchase adds 36 associates to the Stock family. All senior management, including company president Jim Stafford, will remain with the company.
Lee Window and Door Company distributes and installs commercial and high-end residential windows and recorded sales in 2005 of $8.3 million. "The acquisition of Lee gives us a solid platform upon which to build and expand our commercial window sales program," says Fenton Hord. The acquisition adds 14 associates to Stock. All senior management, including company president Peter Farren, will remain with the company.
Raleigh, NC-based Stock Building Supply now operates 316 locations in 33 states, with reported sales of $5.3 billion for the fiscal year 2006. Stock Building Supply is a subsidiary of Wolseley plc of Theale, England, which had sales in fiscal year 2006 of more than $25 billion. Wolseley is traded on the New York Stock Exchange as WOS.
