SRS Distribution acquired two-unit, Texas-based Slover Roofing Supply. Independently-owned Slover Roofing Supply, founded in 2008, distributes residential and commercial roofing products and accessories.
Slover’s team of employees will remain with the company, according to SRS Distribution, to ensure continuity and consistency for its customer and supplier partners. Slover Roofing Supply founders Jason and Stephanie Slover said the partnership will help accelerate the distributor’s growth.
“We are thrilled to be entering the Midland and Abilene markets and are pleased to welcome the Slover Roofing Supply team to the SRS family,” Dan Tinker, president and CEO of SRS Distribution, said in a public statement. Slover will make an excellent addition to our South region operations and will fit perfectly within our existing West Texas footprint.”
McKinney, Texas-based SRS Distribution operates more than 270 locations across 44 states under a family of 30 distinct local brands. The distributor was the 7th largest company on the 2019 ProSales 100, with sales in 2018 of $2.72 billion.
SRS—a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners and Berkshire Partners—has been growing through both organic greenfield openings and acquisitions recently. The distributor has opened 17 locations in 2019, most recently opening four branches in Florida in July. SRS also has acquired Pennsylvania distributor Presta Contractors Supply and North Carolina distributor AAC Building Materials in the first seven months of 2019.
