SRS Distribution acquired one-unit Schultz Roofing Supply Company, according to a news release. Headquartered in St. Joseph, Mich., independently-owned Schultz Roofing Supply distributes roofing products and accessories, siding, windows, and other complementary products.

“We are excited to welcome the Schultz team to the SRS family,” SRS president and CEO Dan Tinker said in a press release. “The Company’s location in St. Joseph represents our fifth branch in the state and fits well with our presence in northern Indiana. The Schultz family has built an outstanding reputation over 80-plus years in the roofing industry and we are honored they chose SRS as their home.”

Schultz Roofing Supply was founded in 1935 by Clarence Schultz and is currently being managed by the third generation of the Schultz family. Schultz employees will remain with the company after the acquisition, to ensure “continuity and consistency” for customers and supply partners, according to SRS.

“I am thrilled to be joining forces with SRS and am eager to see what we can accomplish together by leveraging their resources and our devoted team,” Schultz president Chad Deja said. “Schultz is known for providing excellent customer service and high-quality materials, a reputation I am confident will continue for years to come.”

McKinney, Texas-based SRS Distribution operates more than 300 locations across 44 states under a family of 33 local brands. The distributor ranked 7th on the 2019 ProSales 100, generating sales of $2.72 billion in 2018.

SRS—a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners and Berkshire Partners—has been rapidly growing in recent months. The distributor acquired 21-branch Travis Roofing Supply in August and two-unit Slover Roofing Supply in July. SRS has also opened 17 greenfield locations in 2019, most recently opening four branches in Florida during July.
