SRS Acquisition Corp. acquired Alley Roofing Supply in Tulsa, Okla., and opened a new location in Joplin, Mo., the company announced today. Both operations will be run under the Southern Shingles name.
Alley Roofing Supply will maintain its current 11-member staff, including former owner Bucky Alley, who will take on the role of sales manager for the Tulsa area.
"We are very excited to add to our Southern Shingles region by having the hard working employees of Alley Roofing Supply in Tulsa join our team," said SRS CEO Ron Ross.
The greenfield location in Joplin will feature only TAMKO roofing products and Exterior Portfolio by Crane vinyl siding products. The branch will be managed by Scott Rogers.
SRS has already donated $100,000 to the Red Cross in Joplin and partnered with TAMKO and Crane to donate an additional $1 per square foot to the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity for all roofing and siding sold over the next year out of the location.
"At SRS, we feel a tremendous burden to be good industry stewards and also to help when one our many friends in the industry ask us to," said Ross. "Opening in Joplin allows us to give back in many ways."
Ross said the company intends to help in the rebuilding of the community by providing both building materials as well as jobs. The locations will also help to support the company's Oklahoma City and Fort Smith, Ark., operations.
SRS Acquisition is ranked No. 13 on the latest ProSales 100 listing with 2010 sales of $343 million. With the additions the company now operates 52 locations in 22 states under various names.
