SRS Distribution has added five more facilities to what is now a 206-yard network with its acquisition of Venture Roofing & Building Supply, a Tulsa, Okla.-based firm with additional facilities in North Little Rock, Ark., and the Texas cities of Weatherford, Melissa, and Richland Hills.
Venture's entire sales and operations team will remain with the company, SRS noted in a Jan. 19 news release. Venture was founded in 2012, has 55 employees, and serves a market stretching from North Texas into northeastern Oklahoma and over to central Arkansas.
SRS, a unit of Berkshire Partners, ranks ninth on the ProSales 100, with sales of $1.92 billion in 2016, 99% of it to pros. It now operates in 41 companies under the banners of nearly two dozen subsidiaries.
President and CEO Dan Tinker will be a panelist at the ProSales 100 Conference on Feb. 28-March 2 in San Antonio.
