Sanford & Hawley announced today it acquired Rogers Sash & Door and will close the company’s Newington, Conn., location.
Going forward, Sanford & Hawley will serve the customers of both companies from its locations in Unionville, Avon, and Manchester, Conn., stores and its regional location in West Springfield, Mass.
“We want to express our thanks to so many contractors and homeowners who have supported us over the years,” said Ralph Sager, owner of Rogers Sash & Door. “Sanford & Hawley is a company that we respect very much. We’re pleased that some of our team members will be making the transition as well, allowing our customers to continue working with familiar faces. We’re confident that they will be well taken care of.”
Sanford & Hawley is one of the oldest family-owned lumberyards in the U.S. The company won Excellence Awards from ProSales in 2011 and 2013. Robert Sanford, president of Sanford & Hawley, was a judge for the 2014 ProSales Excellence Awards.
