Royal Building Products completed the acquisition of Lenexa, Kan.–based DaVinci Roofscapes. DaVinci began in 1999 and holds a leadership position as a supplier of premium and composite roofing and siding.
Products will continue to be sold under the DaVinci brand name, according to Royal Building Products. The DaVinci products will complement the existing Royal products, such as Celect, Zuri, and Cedar Renditions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are very excited about the addition of DaVinci, which brings an impressive business with a strong leadership position in the composite roofing industry,” Scott Szwejbka, vice president of exteriors for Royal Building Products, said in a public statement. “DaVinci has an outstanding reputation for meeting customer needs with superior technology, product quality, and operating excellence.”
Royal Building Products, which is based in Woodbridge, Ontario and owned by Westlake Chemical, manufactures and distributes building materials for the remodeling, building, and construction markets. Royal’s product offerings include siding, trim, accessories, soffit, rainware, mouldings, and decking.
