Windows and doors manufacturer Pella Corporation acquired Ocala, Fla.-based Custom Window Systems (CWS). The acquisition of CWS, a company that specializes in vinyl and aluminum impact-resistant products, will enable Pella to “strategically expand and build scale” in the Florida area and southeast coastal markets, according to a news release.
"CWS enhances our product offering and increases our penetration in the large and growing Florida area," Tim Yaggi, president and CEO of Pella Corporation, said in a news release. "We expect to grow faster together by leveraging Pella's capabilities and CWS' regional knowledge, impact-resistant product lines, and strong customer relationships."
CWS employees will continue to work for the company and serve its dealers under the CWS brand name, according to Pella. Pella said the acquisition will help the company realize growth synergies and targeted cost efficiencies, which will both help increase scale and rapid expansion in the Florida region. Pella said its portfolio will be strengthened by leveraging CWS’s impact-resistant expertise in existing Pella distribution channels.
"We are extremely pleased to be a part of the Pella family. It is both a strategic and cultural fit that will afford us the opportunity to serve more customers by further expanding our capabilities in Florida and other key coastal regions,” Rod Miller, vice president of sales and marketing at CWS, said in a news release.
Pella, Iowa-based Pella Corporation has 15 manufacturing locations and more than 200 showrooms across the country.
