Oldcastle APG

Oldcastle APG acquired northern California paver, concrete masonry, segmental retaining wall, and packaged products manufacturer Calstone. According to Oldcastle, Calstone has an established reputation for product quality and a customer-centric approach in its service regions of San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose, and the Central Valley area.

“This is a strategically important addition to the Oldcastle APG family as we strive to offer complete outdoor living solutions to our customers across the country,” Tim Ortman, president of Oldcastle APG, said. “Calstone fits seamlessly into APG’s existing portfolio, elevating our product lines and manufacturing capabilities in California to a new level.”

Calston operates three manufacturing facilities in Tracy, Gilroy, and San Martin, Calif. Over its 75 years of business, Calston has pursued continual product innovation to exceed customer expectations and sustain its position in the residential and commercial construction sectors. Oldcastle APG said Calstone’s presence in the northern California market provides Oldcastle the opportunity to generate meaningful synergies and better serve customers in the region. The company said Calston also strengthens Oldcastle’s ability to meet the growing demand for sustainable building products, as Calstone’s circular production process incorporates the use of recycled materials.

The acquisition of Calston aligns well with several recent purchases by Oldcastle APG, including EP Henry and Pebbly Technology International.

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is a provider of outdoor living and building materials, with its product offerings including concrete masonry, hardscapes, bagged dry mixes, lawn and garden, and composite decking. The company’s portfolio includes Sakrete Concrete mixes, Amerimix mortars, and Belgard hardscapes.
