Nation’s Best completed the acquisition of Cain Hardware & Lumber, bringing its total number of locations in the state of Texas to 19.
“We’re always looking to grow with best-in-class stores,” Chris Miller, president and CEO of Nation’s Best, said in a prepared statement. “When the Cains were looking to retire and transition the business, this was an easy decision for us. They’ve mastered the fundamentals of delivering an exceptional customer experience. They’ve tailored their product mix to what’s needed in their community and they’ve maintained a great mix of in-demand items. We’re proud to welcome Cain Hardware & Lumber to the Nation’s Best family.”
Cain Hardware & Lumber offers a fully-stocked lumberyard, a strong hardlines assortment, and a large paint store.
“We have thoroughly enjoyed serving our community,” Penny and Paul Cain said. “And partnering with Nation’s Best allows us to pursue our retirement plans while knowing the store that we put our blood, sweat, and tears into over the years will be in great hands. They’re taking what we’ve built and will leverage their business strengths and operational best practices to make Cain Hardware & Lumber even better.”
Nation’s Best said it will lease the property from the Cain family. As part of Nation’s Best’s strategy, Cain Hardware & Lumber will maintain operations under their existing name and retain the team overseeing company operations. Nation’s Best will provide the strategic and financial support to support growth and profitability.
Nation’s Best, founded in 2019, operates 48 locations in 14 states.
