Nation’s Best completed the acquisitions of Groom & Sons’ and Lambert Lumber and Home Center. Groom & Sons’, founded in 1948, is a three-unit retail hardware, home center, and contractor lumber yard with locations in East Dallas, Texas, Mabank, Texas, and Athens, Texas. Lambert Lumber and Home Center was founded in 1996 and is based in Broken Bow, Okla.
Groom & Sons’ and Lambert Lumber offer a wide variety of hardlines and building materials to a customer base of home builders, contractors, and DIYers. Nation’s Best will provide both companies with the “strategic and financial resources” to support profitable growth, according to a news release. Both companies will continue to operate under their existing brand names and their respective leadership teams will remain intact, with Nation’s Best’s management team helping oversee the businesses.

Nation’s Best Holdings, founded in 2019, is a member-owner of Do It Best Corp. The company currently owns and operates four locations in two states. According to Nation’s Best, it is committed to identifying and acquiring best-in-class independent home improvement stores across the United States to ensure “their continued relevance as vibrant community resources.”
