L&W Supply, a unit of ABC Supply, announced today the acquisition of DeFoor Acoustical Inc., doing business as DeFoor Drywall and Acoustical Supply, a distributor with operations in Macon and Atlanta, Ga.
The family-owned DeFoor Acoustical started in 1966 and provides commercial acoustical ceiling systems, insulation, metal studs and drywall products, L&W said in a news release.
The deal gives L&W its third facility in the Atlanta metro area and its first in Macon. “This will expand our footprint, and we look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service, meeting the needs of contractors in the state of Georgia," said Dan Piche, president of L&W Supply.
The deal is L&W’s fourth in recent months. L&W took over Wright Bros. Supply in California and Ace Supply in Montgomery, Ala. in March before growing by more than 10% with its acquisition of NexGen Building Supply, which has 15 branches serving six states.
L&W will operate 158 branches across 35 states with the acquisition of DeFoor.
