Krauter Solutions, a division of Krauter Equipment Co. and Auto-Stak Systems announced their merger on Tuesday. The new company will be called Krauter Auto-Stak and will be based out of Indianapolis with field offices in Westwood, N.J., and Burlington, Ontario.

Auto-Stak, which is best known for designing, manufacturing and installing rack storage systems, pre-engineered metal buildings and bulk storage sheds, will now be incorporated into the full line of Krauter racks, rack supported structures, steel frame retail/warehouse buildings.

"Krauter Solutions and Auto-Stak have been competitors for 25 years, but we always worked together on projects when we had to," said Krauter Solutions president Chris Krauter. "So, finally coming together on this was a long time coming. We are very pleased to have them as a part of our offerings."

Krauter will become president and CEO of Krauter Auto-Stak, while current Auto-Stak president Mark Ritz will serve as first vice president and oversee the company. The merger expands each company's geographic reach by combining Auto-Stak's strength on the East Coast with Krauter Solution's strength on the West Coast.
