Kodiak Building Partners, a building materials distribution company, has acquired Colorado-based Liberty Doors and Windows, a provider of doors, windows, and millwork. The acquisition strengthens Kodiak’s position in the growing Colorado market.
“This acquisition supports our commitment to delivering top-tier products and solutions to meet the rising demand in Colorado’s dynamic building sector,” Steve Swinney, CEO of Kodiak Building Partners, said. “Liberty makes quality doors for the American working man because that’s who we are and that’s who we care about. Their deep expertise and strong relationships with local builders are a key factor contributing to creating value and scaling the business overall.”
Established in 1986, Liberty Doors and Windows has built a reputation for offering custom solutions, with a focus on high-end residential and commercial projects. Liberty has quadrupled its size since 2017 and relocated to a 45,000 square foot facility under the leadership of Ted Willoughby.
“Partnering with Kodiak allows us to expand our offerings while benefiting from the national expertise Kodiak offers,” Ted Willoughby, president of Liberty Doors and Windows, said. “We’ve shared a strong relationship with Kodiak’s leadership for more than 15 years, and our shared values of putting people first and doing business the right way makes this a natural partnership.”
Following the acquisition, Liberty Doors and Windows will continue to operate under its existing brand with its current management team leading day-to-day operations, maintaining its local identity and customer focus, according to Kodiak.
Founded in 2011, Kodiak Building Partners specializes in acquiring and supporting locally owned and operated building materials companies.
