Higginbotham Brothers & Company (HBC) has entered a definitive agreement to acquire White’s Ace Building Center. White’s Ace has two locations in Shawnee, Okla., and Seminole, Okla.
HBC operates over 40 hardware stores, lumberyards, and building centers across the state of Texas. The White’s Ace Building Center acquisition marks the first time HBC will operate stores outside of Texas. In a news release, HBC said it is looking forward to carrying out the tradition set forth by White’s Ace to be an intricate and important part of the communities it serves, including both pro and DIY customers.
The deal is HBC’s second acquisition in 2019. In June, the dealer acquired Cade’s Building Materials in Mineola, Texas. The company opened its first store in 1881 and currently generates around 60% of its revenue from pro customers. Comanche, Texas-based HBC ranked 87th on the 2019 ProSales 100 list with $49.3 million in revenue in 2018.
