Heritage Pool Supply Group, the recently formed platform within the SRS Distribution family, acquired AquaCentral, the second largest pool distributor in the United States. AquaCentral was created through a series of mergers, including Florida Water Products, Pool & Electrical Products, American Pool Supply, Bel-Aqua Pool Supply, Conely Company, Mayfield Pool Supply, Classic Pool Tile, and Noble Tile Supply.
“We are thrilled to partner with AquaCentral and its highly-respected local brands to create a national platform with world-class capabilities,” Dan Tinker, president and CEO of SRS Distribution, said in a news release. “Preserving these highly valued brands will allow us to collectively leverage the strengths of each to provide exceptional customer service and care, partner with the industry’s best suppliers, and attract the industry’s best talent seeking to be a part of our unique culture and strategy.”
SRS is building its pool and spa platform by replicating strategies used to grow its national networks in the roofing and landscape supply industries through SRS Distribution and Heritage Landscape Supply Group. By partnering with AquaCentral, Heritage now encompasses 13 distinct brands and operates more than 85 branches across 21 states. Moving forward, Carlos Del Amo will become the COO of Heritage Pool Supply Group, including all pre-existing pool brands.
“We are honored to partner with Carlos and his entire team,” Matt McDermott, president of Heritage, said. “Each of these eight multi-generational family businesses has an outstanding reputation and we could not be more excited to put all of our resources behind them to support and accelerate their individual growth goals and vision. Our future is very clear and we will continue to lead with a people-first culture, building the most passionate, most engaged, and the most customer-focused team in the industry.”
Heritage said its acquisition of AquaCentral reflects the company’s commitment to the “vibrant pool and spa distribution market” and its focus on serving pool professionals and dealers. The company plans to preserve the local brand identities and management of these new distributors under the leadership of Louie Mozas and Carlos Del Amo.
“I speak on behalf of the entire team when I say we are thrilled to be joining forces with the Heritage family of companies,” Del Amo said. “With the resources and commitment to long-term growth that Heritage provides, we believe we have a unique opportunity to build a very special legacy of the largest family of independent wholesale pool and spa distributors in the industry.”
Heritage Pool Supply Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SRS Distribution, was formed in August through the acquisition of Aqua-Gon. SRS and its landscape division, Heritage Landscape Supply Group, first gained exposure to the pool and spa space through its acquisition of Davis Supply in April 2021. Heritage Pool Supply completed the acquisitions of Pool Contractors Supply and Quality Pool Supply in October.
