Heritage Pool Supply Group has acquired Guardian Distribution, an independent wholesale distributor of pool and spa products based in Minnesota. Terms of the acquisition were not publicly disclosed.Guardian Distribution was founded in 2009 by Bill Shuherk and services the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul market from its location in Rogers, Minn.
“We are pleased to welcome Bill and his entire team to the Heritage family. Guardian adds a second location in the Twin Cities market and is highly complementary to our existing Aqua-Gon branch in the area,” Matt McDermott, president of Heritage, said in a prepared statement. “Guardian will make an ideal addition to our Midwest region operations and allow us to properly service the Twin Cities markets.”
Shuherk will continue to lead the company post-acquisition to ensure continuity and consistency for customers, suppliers, and employees, according to Heritage.

Heritage Pool Supply Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SRS Distribution, was formed in August through the acquisition of Aqua-Gon. SRS and its landscape division, Heritage Landscape Supply Group, first gained exposure to the pool and spa space through its acquisition of Davis Supply in April 2021. Heritage Pool Supply Group operates a family of 17 distinct local brands encompassing more than 100 locations across 29 states.
