With its recent acquisition of Pioneer Lumber in Coxsackie, N.Y., GNH Lumber has expanded to a three-yard dealer in the Empire State's Greene County. The deal, finalized last month, gives GNH a combined sales volume of more than $20 million, including its locations in Greenville and Windham, N.Y.

"We are thrilled to have acquired Pioneer Lumber and feel it will be a great fit for our business and fits nicely with the culture of GNH Lumber," owner Stan Ingalls wrote in an e-mail to ProSales senior editor Andy Carlo. "We believe that with this acquisition, we will be poised for the comeback of the housing industry."

Founded in 1930, more than 65% of GNH Lumber's business is contractor-based.
