GMS, the no. 8 company on the ProSales 100, announced today its acquisition of Southwest Building Materials, Ltd. (SWBM), Amarillo, Texas.
SWBM has been in business since 1984 and supplies materials to projects in the Texas panhandle, Oklahoma, and eastern New Mexico. GMS's press release says the deal will enhance the existing GMS locations in Lubbock and Midland, Texas.

"The acquisition allows GMS to continue to expand its already strong presence in Texas, reinforcing our commitment to high quality products and excellent customer service.”
"SWBM has been a leader in construction materials supply in the Texas Panhandle and surrounding areas for more than 30 years and plans to continue its commitment to quality as a GMS company," Scott Anderson, branch manager at SWBM, said.
