Coastal Construction Products, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based distributor of caulking, sealants, waterproofing materials and concrete restoration products, acquired Construction Chemical Corporation of Sarasota, Fla.
“We’re pleased to welcome Construction Chemical into the Coastal family,” CEO of Costal Construction Martin Harrell said. “We were attracted by their solid reputation for good customer service and their support of the construction industry on Florida’s west coast.”
The acquisition comes four months after the distributor partnered with Supply Chain Equity Partners to expand its distribution platform nationwide. Supply Equity Partners also pledged to develop a strategic plan for Coastal Construction and expertise on mergers and acquisitions, such as the Construction Chemical deal.
Family-owned Coastal Construction was founded in 1975 and has 14 stocking locations from Miami to Memphis, Tenn., servicing customers throughout the Southeast as well as Latin America and the Caribbean. Coastal Construction distributes products from BASF, CETCO, Dow Corning, Five Star, Grace, Neogard, Pecora, Sika Corporation, Specified Technologies, and Tremco. The distributor also sells specialty flooring and air barriers.
