Cameron Ashley Building Products, a portfolio company of Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, has acquired Warrior Building Products, according to a news release.
The St. Louis-based Warrior Building Products distributes roofing, fasteners, siding, insulation, and decking products. Its location complements Cameron Ashley’s existing presence in Kansas City and Joplin, Mo.
“We are excited to add a St. Louis location to our network of distribution centers,” Cameron Ashley president and CEO Donny DeMarie said in a public statement. “The acquisition further strengthens the company’s position in the Midwestern United States while providing Cameron Ashley with a strong foothold in eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois.”
The acquisition of Warrior Building Products is the latest in a series of moves made under Pacific Avenue’s ownership of Cameron Ashley. The company recently changed its name from Guardian Building Products to Cameron Ashley Building Products. Los Angeles-based Pacific Avenue acquired the company in late April 2018.
Under the private investment firm’s ownership, Cameron Ashley has grown its network to more than 5,000 customers across more than 30 distribution centers nationwide. Chris Sznewajs, the founder and managing partner of Pacific Avenue, said the Warrior Building Products acquisition demonstrates a commitment to expanding the Cameron Ashley footprint. He also said additional planned expansions in Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania are planned in 2019.
