Building Industry Partners (BIP) today announced its sponsorship of a newly formed entity, United Cabinet Holdings LLC, which will invest in and acquire North American regional kitchen and bath cabinetry manufacturers. The new company also announced its first investment, Touchstone Fine Cabinetry.

BIP, a Fort Worth, Texas-based private equity firm focused on the building products industry, will back United Cabinet Holdings in partnership with kitchen and bath cabinet industry veterans Terry Dickey and Michael Arnaud. Dickey will serve as CEO and Arnaud will be executive vice president of sales. Both are also significant shareholders in the business.

Dickey brings more than 25 years of experience with the cabinet manufacturing industry, having served as president and CEO of March Furniture Co., and COO of Cardell Kitchen and Bath’s El Campo division. Arnaud has served with a number of companies during his 24 year career in the industry.

The group’s first investment, Touchstone Fine Cabinetry, was formed via the recapitalization of Rutherfordton, N.C.-based Geppetto Kitchens, a maker of custom framed and frameless cabinetry. Touchstone will operate out of Geppetto’s current facility and will employ 85 people.
