Beacon has announced the acquisitions of SSR Roof Supply and Passaic Metal and Building Supplies Company (PAMPCO).
SSR Roof Supply operates two branches in the Vancouver, British Columbia market, one in Burnaby and the other in Surrey.
“We are proud of our history as a family-owned company dedicated to serving our customers’ needs with quality products and face to face service,” Raj, Sunil, and Surinder Bath of SSR said in a joint statement. “Joining forces with Beacon will bring our customers a more robust catalog of products as well as services that help contractors run their business more efficiently.”
With the acquisition, Beacon said it can reach almost 80% of British Columbia’s population through its three locations in the province.
PAMPCO is headquartered in Clifton, N.J., and operates five branches in New Jersey and another in upstate New York. The company’s roots in metal, roofing, and siding date back to 1911.
“Four generations of the Gurtman family have dedicated themselves to serving residential and commercial contractors. While we have remained independent for over 100 years, we believe that joining forces with the Beacon team will best serve our dedicated employees and long-standing customers,” Frank Gurtman, CEO of PAMPCO, said. “Our customers trust us, and partnering will further enhance the customer experience.”
Beacon said the acquisition represents another example of the distributor growing its metal solutions capabilities.
Beacon has completed nine acquisitions to date in 2024.
