Beacon announced the acquisition of Medford, Mass.-based waterproofing distributor Garvin Construction Products. In addition to its location in Medford, Garvin operates locations in North Haven, Conn., Beltsville, Md., Carlstadt, N.J., and Long Island City, N.Y.

“Joining Beacon and its growing waterproofing division will enable us to continue serving our loyal customers and provide them additional products and services,” George Bukuras, Garvin’s president and CEO, said in a news release.

Garvin Construction Products serves design professionals, contractors, and owners with building envelope solutions, including waterproofing, restoration, glass, tinting, and glazing.

Beacon took its building envelope capabilities on a national basis with the acquisitions of Coastal Construction Products and Whitney Building Products in 2022. The distributor has completed eight acquisitions to-date and opened 16 new greenfield locations in accordance with its Ambition 2025 growth plan.

Herndon, Va.-based Beacon distributes roofing materials and complementary building products. The company operates over 500 branches throughout all 50 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
