Wilson Lumber Company announced the promotion of two employees, Jesse Whitaker and Jackie Crutcher. Whitaker has been named director of millwork operations and Crutcher has been appointed to the position of director of truss operations.

Whitaker joined the Wilson Lumber team in 2019 as the installed sales manager, bringing with him 25 years of building materials experience and leadership to the organization. Wilson Lumber said Whitaker’s leadership began to make an immediate impact in the business by bringing a standardized and consistent selling model to the company’s installed sales program that has seen record sales year over year. The company said Whitaker was an instrumental part of helping launch the commercial multifamily turnkey sales model with the company. In 2021, Whitaker joined the millwork operations team as the millwork division manager.

Crutcher joined Wilson Lumber in 2018, leading the start up of the lumber company’s newest truss division in Westmoreland, Tenn. The company said his experience was instrumental in establishing the truss facility from concept to reality at the organization’s first Tennessee location. Crutcher now oversees truss manufacturing facilities in multiple states that have “experienced tremendous growth and record efficiencies,” according to the company. Under the leadership of Crutcher, Wilson Lumber said its truss operations are projected to grow by 28% in 2023.
