VNS Corp. will open a new Choo Choo Build-It Mart location in Jacksonville, Fla., and re-open its Richmond Hill, Ga., location as a roofing distribution center, the company announced today.
"Both of these locations give us easy access onto I-95 to distribute products north and south," Gary Campbell, president and CEO ov Vidalia, Ga.-based VNS, said in a statement. VNS is the parent company of Choo Choo Build-It Mart, the No. 43 company on the latest ProSales 100, with sales in 2010 of $68 milllion, 99% of them to pros. VNS also owns Bestline Sash & Door, and Charlie’s Discount Building Materials, ProCon Construction Services, and TrussMart Building Products.
The Richmond Hill operation, formerly a lumberyard, has been mothballed since August 2008, according to ProSales'openings and closures database.
Choo Choo has distribution centers in Dublin, Warner Robins, Lake Oconee, Rincon, Richmond Hill, and Kingsland, Ga., and Jacksonville, Fla. It also has window and door centers in Brunswick, Ga., and Bluffton, S.C.
