Shelly’s Building Products and Universal Supply, divisions of national building products distributor US LBM, have partnered to co-brand the company’s Kimberton, Pa., location, according to a news release. The location will also expand its selection to include roofing and siding products.

Shelly’s will continue to provide lumber, windows, doors, millwork, decking and specialty building products to customers in Chester County and Montgomery County from the Kimberton location. The addition of Universal Supply will add roofing and siding products to the slate of products available for area building professionals.

“Universal Supply is a known leader for roofing and siding products in the Mid-Atlantic,” Shelly’s president Tim Krall said in a press release. “We’re excited to welcome them to Kimberton, which provides opportunities for both divisions to grow our customer bases.”

The co-branding of the Kimberton location is a first for US LBM and demonstrates the distributor’s “strategy of bringing market leaders together and leveraging the knowledge, experience, and customer relationships” of local teams, according to Jeff Umosella, US LBM chief development officer and Universal Supply president.

Shelly’s, a supplier of specialty building materials and manufactured components, serves customers throughout the Philadelphia region and Lehigh Valley from eight locations in Pennsylvania. Universal Supply operates 16 locations in New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, providing specialty building products, including roofing, siding, windows, doors, cabinetry, millwork, fasteners, and lumber. Universal Supply recently opened its third location in Maryland.

Both companies are divisions of Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based US LBM. US LBM operates more than 250 locations and the distributor, ranked 6th on the 2019 ProSales 100, generating $3.35 billion in sales in 2018.
