SRS Corporation revealed today that it is opening a new location in Sacramento, Calif., on Feb. 1, marking the 30-unit roofing distributor's entry into the Golden State.

The McKinney, Texas-based company's newest location will operate under the "Roofline Supply" banner. All five of SRS's Oregon locations also operate under that name.

SRS said the new location will carry a full line of residential and commercial roofing products while serving the Northern California area including Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, and Stockton.

Additionally, SRS announced that it has hired John Glass as the new branch manager of the Sacramento unit. Glass is a 28-year industry veteran who is expected to bring "the relationships and experience necessary to grow share in Northern California for many years to come," the company said in statement issued this afternoon.

Stan Rose and Brian Flournoy have also joined the Company and will serve in a sales and customer service capacity. The location will be under the control of Lonnie Peterson, SRS western regional vice president.

"It is exciting to gain a beachhead position into the large California market, especially by partnering with such an experienced team," said Dan Tinker, chief operating officer of SRS Acquisition Corporation, commented.

"It is of long-term strategic importance that we develop a platform for future growth in a state which is projected to recover and grow at such a fast pace in the coming decade," he added. "Our plan is to rapidly expand as the market improves by adding acquisitions and other new greenfields to the region in the coming years."

SRS will now operate 31 locations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, Illinois, Minnesota, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and California.

The company's banners include Suncoast Roofers Supply, Southern Shingles, Rowe Supply, Atlanta South Supply (GA), Wilson Wholesale, River City Wholesale), Shake & Shingle Supply), Roofline Supply, and Stoneway Roofing Supply.
