BRINC Building Products expanded its ThermalBuck distribution into the northwest regions of the U.S. and Canada through a partnership with regional building material supplier Small Planet Supply.
“Adding exterior insulation is a no-brainer for most projects, and ThermalBuck eliminates the challenge that goes into detailing critical areas – like windows and doors,” said Kieran Lavelle, sales manager at Small Planet Supply. “This makes it a vital piece of the puzzle towards energy-efficiency and we’re proud to offer ThermalBuck alongside our other high-performance building products.”
Small Planet Supply began as Small Planet Workshop, an extension of West Coast Associates, to support the growing demand for net-zero and passive house education and training in North America. The workshop developed into a business as a building material supplier, specializing in products designed for super-insulated, airtight structures.
Small Planet Supply specializes in air and water barriers, insulation materials, and mechanical systems. The supplier has stocking facilities in Vancouver, British Columbia and Tumwater, Wash., and serves customers in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Montana, Utah, and Arizona.
ThermalBuck is a high-performance window buck coated with a waterproof resin. The manufacturer says the product solves the challenge of installing nail flange windows and doors with exterior insulation by extending the mounting point to create a flush plane for cladding.
