McCoy's Building Supply edged even closer to the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area today with its announcement that it will put in a new location in Midlothian, Texas. The company also reported it has renovated its location in Huntsville, Texas.

The Midlothian facility will be located on a 7.13-acre site in the community just south of the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. The nearest current facility in the Metroplex is in Cleburne, about 25 miles west-southwest. A yard 12 miles southeast in Waxahachie was closed in 2002.

Construction is expected to be complete late this year. Dan Buller, former manager of the McCoy's operation in Baytown, Texas, and a 39-year veteran with the company, will be store manager.

The Huntsville grand re-opening and board cutting ceremony on May 24 followed a series of improvements that included an expanded lumber yard and paving of the entire yard and front parking lot. The front façade of the store was also updated, new LED lights added throughout the property and many areas inside of the store, including the restrooms, were remodeled, McCoy's said.

San Marcos, Texas-based McCoy’s ranks 13th on the latest ProSales 100 list, with $827.8 million in sales last year, 70% of it to pros. The 91-year-old company operates 87 stores and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and New Mexico.
