McCoy’s Building Supply named new store managers at locations in Carlsbad, N.M., and Palestine, Texas. Julio Lopez will serve as the store manager in Carlsbad and Tyler Louis was named manager of the Palestine location.

Lopez has worked for the dealer for a decade, beginning his career as a cashier at McCoy’s Las Cruces, N.M., location. Lopez worked in various roles in the lumberyard and sales floor over the years and entered McCoy’s management development program. Prior to his promotion to sales manager, Lopez served as the assistant manager at the Las Cruces branch.

“It’s great to be in a role where you can connect with people who are building new homes or improving existing ones,” Lopez said in a prepared statement. “We have a well-established crew here in Carlsbad that is known for their willingness to go above and beyond for our customers, no matter the size of their project.”

Louis began with McCoy’s three years ago and immediately enrolled in the company’s management development program. He worked as a manager-in-training at the dealer’s Victoria, Texas, store and was promoted to assistant manager at the location. Louis was named comanager in Aransas Pass, Texas, after Hurricane Harvey and most recently served as the store manager in Hobbs, N.M.

“I’m really excited to be in Palestine and learn this new market. I’ve lived in a few different places in Texas and I’m looking forward to the feel of a small-town community,” Louis said in a company news release. "Our team is focused on providing the best service possible. Randy Clayton made such an impact managing the Palestine McCoy's for so many years, and we will certainly remember his legacy as we continue to serve our customers and our community.”

San Marcos, Texas-based McCoy’s Building Supply operates more than 90 locations with full-service lumberyards in Arkansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. The dealer ranked 12th on the 2019 ProSales 100 and generated $884.4 million sales during 2018.
