The West Coast Lumber & Building Material Association (WCLBMA) elected Mark Ganahl, vice president of Ganahl Lumber, chairman of the board of directors at the association’s annual meeting in San Diego, Calif., Oct. 17-18.

Ganahl has spent more than 25 years in the family business working in all phases of the industry. He was named Anaheim location general manager in 2010. He and his wife Melissa have three children and are active in numerous community undertakings. Mark’s father, Peter Ganahl, was association president in 1982 and Jim Taft of Ganahl Lumber was LACN president in 2006.

Also elected at the annual meeting were:

Second vice president Victor Fresca, ProBuild, San Diego, Calif.

Treasurer Bobby Senften, Friedman’s Home Improvement, Santa Rosa, Calif.

Past president, Augie Venezia, Fairfax Lumber & Hardware, Fairfax, Calif.

Elected to the WCLBMA board of directors as dealer members were Rick Deen, Nichols Lumber, Baldwin Park, Calif.; and Mark Boone, Champion Lumber, Riverside, Calif.

Elected to the board as new associate member directors were Tom Knippen, Diablo Timber Company, Napa, Calif.; and Dale Verseput, Select Equipment Sales, Buena Park, Calif.

Holdover dealer directors are Matt Petersen, Mead Clark Lumber, Santa Rosa, Calif.; and Jeff Pardini, Hills Flat Lumber, Grass Valley, Calif.

Holdover associate member directors are Vic Hausmaninger, HBLA CPAs, Irvine, Calif.; Seamus O’Reilly, LP Building Products, Fairfield, Calif.; and Chris Swanson, Swanson Group Sales, Glendale Ore.

Sitting in on board meetings as a non-voting participant is the 2014 Second Growth president, Jay McArthur, Ojai Lumber, Ojai, Calif.

WCLBMA executive director Ken Dunham, Folsom, remains as corporate secretary.
