Koopman Lumber opened a new branch location in Dennis, Mass., the company’s 12th overall location and first on Cape Cod. The 8,759-square-foot store has a kitchen and bath showroom, a window and door showroom, and retail space. The store also features a 9,030-square-foot drive-through lumber yard with auto stack racking and two spacious warehouses totaling 4,749 square feet. Delivery is available throughout Cape Cod and all New England, according to Koopman Lumber.
“We have spent months renovating the former Antique Center of Cape Cod property and can’t wait to welcome customers to meet more of our neighbors in Dennis and across the Cape,” Tony Brookhouse, chief operating officer of Koopman Lumber, said. “We love to be part of communities that embrace independent family businesses.”
In addition to serving homeowners and DIYers, Koopman said it also has experience working with contractors, remodelers, and professional builders. The 3,750 square feet of showroom space includes working kitchens for demonstrations and events.
“The Cape isn’t historically a commercial market, so we were excited when the opportunity presented itself to bring our family business to your community.”
Koopman’s 12 Massachusetts locations include three lumber, hardware, paint, lawn, and garden stores in Whitinsville, Uxbridge, and North Grafton; one lumber, hardware, paint, and kitchen design center in Sharon; a full-service paint store in Milford; lumber yards and kitchen design centers in Hudson, Andover, Fairhaven, Indian Orchard, and Dennis; and distribution centers in Uxbridge and Sutton.
