Kodiak Building Partners and Barton Supply promoted Cody Brooks to the role of president of Barton Supply. In the role. Brooks will lead all operations at Barton’s four locations and will report to Bon Barton, who will transition full-time to the role of president of Kodiak’s construction supplies group.
“Promoting Cody to president is another important milestone as we continually enhance our operations through improved coordination, communication, and alignment,” Barton said in a prepared statement. “Cody’s contributions have played a significant part in Barton’s success. His experience, dedication, and demonstrated commitment to Barton’s core values ideally position him for continued success as Barton’s president.”
Following the promotion, Brooks will remain at Barton’s Aurora, Co., headquarters location, where he has served as the director of sales since 2018. Brooks joined the company in 2012 as an account manager and worked his way up to the role of sales manager in 2016. In the role of director of sales, Brooks managed and oversaw the sales operations at Barton and was “instrumental” in designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with customers, and evaluating costs to determine product pricing, according to the company.
“I’m excited to apply my experience and involvement in Barton’s sales team to make us more efficient, effective, and better coordinated across the company,” said Brooks. “It is a critical time for the company with our operations and production in focus across the Colorado markets, and I look forward to reinforcing Barton’s reputation as the leading supplier of materials for concrete construction, fabricated rebar, and structural steel in the state and neighboring markets.”
Barton Supply’s primary business revolves around rebar fabrication, structural and miscellaneous steel, tilt-ups, and concrete accessories. The company offers post-tension, residential steel, foundation supplies, basement windows, and rebar to service the Aurora, Colorado Springs, Denver, and Frederick areas in Colorado. Kodiak Building Partners acquired Barton Supply in July of 2011.
