Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., the No. 58 firm on the ProSales 100, announced today it appointed as its new president David C. Davis, the corporate vice president for supply chain at Bostwick-Braun Co.
Davis has been in his current title at Bostwick -Braun since 2013. He joined the Toledo, Ohio-based distributor in 2008 as vice president for merchandising. Before that, he was vice president for merchandising and marketing at Aubuchon Hardware, Westminster, Mass., and prior to that worked his way up to the VP level at True Value Hardware.
Spahn & Rose, which dates from 2004 and is based in Dubuque, Iowa, has 24 facilities across Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin plus a distribution facility in Independence, Iowa. It reported $114.2 million in sales for 2015, of which 70% of its sales were to pros.
