Hyster-Yale Group is the newest member of the National Lumber and Building Materials Dealer’s Association’s (NLBMDA) Manufacturers and Services Council (MSC). Hyster-Yale Group designs, engineers, manufactures, sells, and services a line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts under the Hyster and Yale brand names. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyster-Yale Materials Holdings in Cleveland, Ohio.
The MSC is composed of leading building material manufacturers and service providers serving the LBM industry. Members of the council share a commitment to promoting and enhancing the success of independent lumber dealers, according to the NLBMDA.
Hyster-Yale Group supports the LBM industry through an industry team focused on lumber and building material manufacturing and distribution, through its manufacturing locations in Berea, Ky., Greenville, N.C., and Sulligent, Ala., and through its independent dealer network of more than 300 locations.
“Hyster-Yale Group is excited to join NLBMDA and continue our strong support for the lumber and building materials industry,” Drew Brandt, director of Industrials Business Unit for Hyster-Yale Group, said in a news release. “We look forward to working with NLBMDA and its members on critical issues with the common goal of solving challenges facing the industry.”
MaterialsXchange, an electronic marketplace for buying and selling raw materials, recently joined the MSC in mid-December.
