Hancock Lumber will donate 100% of the building materials for an upcoming Habitat for Humanity York County (HFHYC) home to be built in Saco, Maine. Hancock is partnering with the York County chapter of Habitat for Humanity to construct a new home for a deserving family and to closely coincide with the dealer’s newest location in Saco, Maine, opening on August 31.

“Team Hancock considers this to be one of our signature community projects in 2020 and is extremely proud to help such an important organization,” Hancock Lumber COO Mark Hopkins said in a news release. “With our Saco location opening in late August and doubling down our York County presence, it’s the perfect time to partner with HFHYC to help them break ground on a new home that will be built just a few miles from our newest location.”

Casco, Maine-based Hancock Lumber has a longstanding relationship with Habitat for Humanity, dating back to 15 years. More recently, Hancock helped raise over $10,000 to help bring affordable workforce housing to Brunswick, Maine in 2019.

Hancock Lumber is a seventh-generation, family-owned business established in 1948.
