The Construction Suppliers Association (CSA) and the Mid South Building Material Dealers Association (MBMDA) voted to merge into one group. The new organization will assume the CSA name and be headquartered in Tyrone, Ga. to serve dealers in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
“We’re excited to join forces with CSA,” said Tommy Chauvin, president of MBMDA. "The mission of our two associations, and the culture of our members, is quite similar," she said.
The vote must be approved by members of both organizations. Assuming the vote passes, the groups will merge on July 1, 2014.
