Cameron Ashley Building Products continued a busy start to 2019 by opening a distribution center in Rocky Mount, N.C. The distributor, formerly known as Guardian Building Products, previously announced the opening of a distribution center in Ohio earlier this week.
The Rocky Mount location will serve an approximate 150-mile radius for customers as far north as Richmond, Va., as far south as Wilmington, N.C., and as far west as Winston-Salem, N.C. The distribution center will provide sales and inventory support for the company’s continued growth in roofing, insulation, gypsum, and other building materials.
CertainTeed Roofing, Knauf Insulation, Lapolla Spray Foam, Lomanco Vents, National Gypsum, TAMKO Roofing, Titanium/RhinoRoof, and USG will be among the key suppliers for the North Carolina distribution center.
“We are pleased to continue serving our existing customers in North Carolina and look forward to expanding our service area to customers further north and east with the addition of this location,” Regional Vice President Tom Gaffey said.
Greenville, S.C.-based Cameron Ashley, a portfolio company of Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, is a distributor of roofing, insulation, gypsum, and other specialty building products with more than 30 distribution centers in 20 states nationwide.
In addition to the two facility openings, Cameron Ashley also announced its acquisition of St. Louis-based distributor Warrior Building Products earlier this week. Cameron Ashley has become active in expansion and acquisitions since Pacific Avenue has taken over ownership of the company in April 2018. The company changed its name from Guardian Building Products to Ashley Building Products earlier this month.
